| 238608 | 2004-05-23 04:10:00 | Sunday, 23 May 2004, 02:58:57:p.m. Hi all, I have a P3 with 128Meg RAM using Win 98 SE and a 56K dial up network and use IE 5.00, with which I am quite happy. I also run Anti-Vir personal edition, with AV-guard updated to 23 May 2004. But? A few days or so ago, a new problem arose - whenever I doubleclick the icon for IE on the desktop, I instantly get a blue screen saying "A fatal exception OE has ocurred at 0028:D1F94034", if I press a key this disappears and when I doubleclicl again on the IE icon everything works, I get connected and can "surf". I run Scandisk afterwards and often it finds "errors" and has fixed them. When I turn the computer on again and go to IE I get the blue screen again with a similar message but the number after 0028: usually is different. Also randomly when I doubleclick on IE the computer immediately reboots itself. I have run Norton Windoctor and it finds no errors on the system. Can anyone help me, Thanks, Brenda |
