238487 2004-05-22 07:57:00 I am trying to creat a small, simple, order form which will have a credit card facility operating on a secure server. No problems here, but I would like to be able to total the selected price fields, prior to going to the credit card dialogue.

Does any one know of a way of doing this in HTML or Java?

I don't know if you have ever noticed that on the back of a credit card there are three extra numbers after the card number. These three numbers are used to verift that the person submitting the credit card number has the magic plastic in there hot little hand and so makes the transaction more secure.

238489 2004-05-22 22:14:00 I use Javascript to total the amounts on the form; it works well for IE but other browers don't necessarily work as well the javascript implementations differ slightly from browser to browser. Of course 95.589567% of punters on the internet use IE anyway. Dolby Digital (160)

If a site doesn't work for me because I block adverts and don't use IE they are out of luck.
It would certainly be interesting to know what the true percentages were but as Opera and others can lie about it I doubt we will ever know

238491 2004-05-23 12:48:00 The latest versions of Opera, Mozilla & IE seem to have come in to line at last. This is a blessing for web authors, not having to compromize all the time. Mzee (158)

Sorry but don't make me laugh as it has always been IE that has not abided by the standards since ver 4
