| 238594 | 2004-05-23 03:26:00 | Why when Im moving to a new page does my internet stop? When I check internet activity status, nothing is active neither sending nor receiving. Compression seems to stick at 3%. I have read this query this heading and nothing seems to apply. I reset my temp files folder to 35MB as someone suggested and it stuck at 4%. I slipped it to 105MB experimentally and it appeared to work temporarily for about 3 pages and then reverted to hanging. This is particularly frustrating when Im trying to read thru 35 Press F1 pages and every page sticks, so that I have to disconnect and reconnect and relogin in etc |

| 238597 | 2004-05-23 04:46:00 | yes I suspect connection. My stated speed is 49.2kbps sometimes down to 42. Tho I suspect that is fixed by paradise and doesnt reflect the true rate. is that possible? | leonie (5511) | ||
| 238598 | 2004-05-23 04:50:00 | > My stated speed is 49.2kbps sometimes down to 42. the logon speed, which you have posted, is never the true rate. to get the true rate download a compressed file of a good known server with an app that can display the true download rate (eg use download manger or network tool and don't use IE). to check if its a paradise problem simply borrow a mates account (different isp) and try it. |

| 238599 | 2004-05-23 04:55:00 | It may possibly help if you empty your Temporary Internet Files and History folders in Internet Explorer. Browsing on dialup works better if the Temporary Internet files settings are kept to a minimum, eg up to 50MB. | tommy (2826) | ||
