Came across the following folder which contains 352objects amounting to 11.4MB The directory tree is C: Documents and Settings/owner/Local Settings/Temp. In the temp folder is the collection mentioned above. Is it safe to delete these files? Thanks |

| 239107 | 2004-05-24 23:40:00 | Normally no problem. The temp folder is usually used by programs to unpack files during installation. Sometimes people have have inadvertently installed the program onto that folder. To be on the safe side, and if you have the space, make a new folder,cut and paste all the files into that folder. If after a week or so, you have not struck any problems with programs, delete the folder. |

| 239108 | 2004-05-24 23:42:00 | Hi Smurf. Yes you can delete to files. Not sure if this is how it's done in XP but, this should work. Right click your C: in My Computer, select Properties then the Disk Cleanup button on the General tab. Tick the items you want cleared out, Temporary Files is one, confirm the action and your all done. Cheers Murray P |
