| 238809 | 2004-05-23 21:43:00 | Im running a cross over cable between a win98se comp and a win2k pro comp. i can access the 98 pc with the win2k but i cant access the win2k comp with the 98, it says i need IPC$ password or something? is there any way around this? | Jimmy D (2061) | ||
| 238810 | 2004-05-23 21:58:00 | You need to have a user name and password setup on the Win 2k computer the same as the user you are logging in on the Win 98 computer. eg win98 login harry, password funny Win 2 k needs a user called harry with password funny. Make sure the shared files on the win2k computer as have read access for harry. |
