238966 2004-05-24 10:18:00 Using Windows XP pro have created a new user, when we go back to old user we have lost their Outlook settings.

Is there any way of getting this back

238967 2004-05-24 19:25:00 Let me get this straight. You lost the Outlook settings for the old user? When you created the new user did it ask about creating a separate profile? I might have my versions wrong but I think you can choose whether you create a new environment for a new user or use an existing one. It sounds like it may have just used the existing. If that's the case, getting it back might be tricky. I wouldn't expect it to have overwritten any saved email data, however.
This could be a win98 thing, not XP, anyone got any comments?

238968 2004-05-24 23:07:00 Thanks Robo

But the user was using a diffrent login to her own login so we thought she had lost all her settings but in fact she was loging in under another user .

Thanks for your help

238969 2004-05-24 23:08:00 Let make it a liitle clearer using a diffrent Windows Login to what they should be using. roben (3835)
238970 2004-05-25 00:07:00 When creating a new user, a new profile is created . The profile contains such items as the users favourites, history and outlook folders and files .

If the 'old' user has not be deleted, the original favourites, etc can either be copied, imported or shared with the 'new' user .

The computer is down . I hope it's something serious
