1363053 2013-12-19 08:13:00 when you pay for a subscription - fee how many machines can it go on ? beetle (243)
1363054 2013-12-19 08:29:00 If you buy 1 licence it can legally go on 1 Computer, buy 2 user, it can go on 2, buy 5 it can go on 5 etc.

A Multi user licence is cheaper per licence than individual licences.

Heres a snapshot of the RRP for a new Licence(s) You need to add gst.

5404

As you can see a 2 user is not double the price of a single user, the prices shown are totals excluding gst, NOT per licence.

Heres the renewals, excluding gst:

1363056 2013-12-19 08:48:00 The Real Rip-off Price is a bit ferocious for a family. A business might find it justifiable with tax breaks etc, but domestically it is a bit sucky. R2x1 (4628)
1363057 2013-12-19 08:49:00 As long as you want it on the same licence, it will be added to it, and pro rata for the date ( this is what normally happens anyway) this means if you have had a licence for 6 months you only get charged for 6 months on the third new one added-- Call chillisoft and speak to them, they are very helpful, then on renewal you would get charged for a 3 user renewal. wainuitech (129)

Software like Norton for example charge the same amount for a renewal as they do for the new purchase each year. Also with Nod32 you can purchase upto 3 Years in a go, which then is cheaper / year / Licence as well.

For example, a 3 user licence for 3 years renewal works out at $26.19 / Computer / Year. Hell I spend more on takeaways every Friday.

You think?
It's per YEAR, it's less than a car rego.

And remember renewal is cheaper than original purchase - so it's fine even if you buy a separate one for each PC.

1363060 2013-12-19 19:16:00 PBTech (pbtech.co.nz) often have the 3-PC 1 year Smart Security retail pack for under $75, which works out to just under $25/PC/year, and includes the AV, as well as the firewall, antispam, and parental controls (and hey, if you don't want them, you can turn em off and just use AV). inphinity (7274)
1363061 2013-12-19 19:38:00 I think NOD32's pricing is very reasonable. Especially, as Wainui says, if you do a few years/few PCs at once. wratterus (105)
1363062 2013-12-19 19:41:00 When I last renewed NOD32 this year I did it for 3 years and 3 machines. In 3 years Time I may try one of the free ones as by then I'll be retired.. Their pricing is not too bad and the product is good.. paulw (1826)
