| 1341619 | 2013-05-17 13:55:00 | Fibre is 2-3 years away for me :( However by then maybe it'll be cheaper :) I get good ADSL 2+ speeds though, about 16 down and .9 up last I checked and pretty reliable. I read on stuff or somewhere recently chorus have announced the wholesale price of VDSL will be the same as ADSL2+ so it should hopefully become more readily available and cheaper in future. Meanwhile thanks to my TiVo and some network changes going on I'm currently unmetered and have been for a few weeks :) Edit - oh and I have a uniden cordless that also powers the base station and works as a speaker phone in a power outage :) |

| 1341623 | 2013-05-18 02:20:00 | How would that work with the same number? I don't understand the question? Basically, there's two ports on the SPA112, both register with the SIP provider on the same account, but they're treated independently, so you can have two concurrent calls quite happily. I think this would be the one www.stuff.co.nz Wow that's *fantastic* news!! Right in time for me as I'm launching a VDSL2-specific ISP too, might have to have a chat with them about that! :D Appreciate the heads up. Basically from what I can tell it's gonna chop around $20 off VDSL2, which is *real* cool! |
