A fair question I would have thought.

1341330 2013-05-16 05:20:00 Most AV are still useless against non-virus malware etc. You definitely need something Agent_24 (57)
1341331 2013-05-19 03:48:00 I think it's a little annoying spybot 1 has no pause and quick scan as a default option. Many people may never know about them, unless if they do a bit of deep digging through the many settings. Or try find a tutorial for ideal optional default settings. Or find them by chance as with me, after 4 years of running full scan.

I do full quick scans a few times per week, and a full scan every month or so.

1341332 2013-05-19 05:00:00 About the only thing S,S&D finds lately is tracking cookies and their ilk. Interestingly, they are all from Chrome which I very rarely use. R2x1 (4628)
1341333 2013-05-19 07:19:00 It finds double click for me, what that is, I have no idea. Cicero (40)
1341334 2013-05-19 07:50:00 Double click is a advertising platform owned by Google. Advertisers and web publishers displaying adsense from the Google Adwords program can set cookies (as detected by spybot) using double click and its's remarketing (support.google.com) campaign. Basically double click can follow you and tries display relevant ads based on sites/products you research or visit. There is a privacy policy (www.google.com) and and related opt out (www.google.com) feature. kahawai chaser (3545)
1341335 2013-05-19 07:56:00 Double-click is a sort of auto-slow down for the web. Now owned by Google it is a nasty piece of work that loads tracking cookies into your browser and takes a great deal of time and data to do so, relatively speaking. One of the first pieces of stuff I block. Everything works much better without it. If I could find a service that would send a dollop of dog do's to Google every time they tried to foist that on me I would consider a subscription a good thing.
PS: I don't like tracking cookies.

Did a scan on a customers PC on Friday, 1st ran Malware bytes, found NOTHING

Then ran spybot2, found and removed 48 various infections, not one single cookie as Ccleaner had already been run to remove temp files, cookies etc.

I'm still stuck with the old scrubber. ;)
