| 1363073 | 2013-12-19 10:09:00 | Recently unearthed a Polar FT60 heart rate/fitness watch . It can upload training data to Polar's website using a small USB interface called a Flowlink . Try for the life of me I can't get windows to recognise the device . It keeps looking for a device driver and when I open up that window, it says its an unknown device . . Eventually it fails, says the best driver is already loaded and gives me a stop error 10 . Under HID in device manager it has a lovely yellow exclamation mark etc . Just installed same Polar software on kids machine which is also running same operating sytem - win 7 64 bit . Plugged in the USB interface and up it comes with the same searching for drivers window . When I dig further into that window it displays the device as Flowlink and after 30 seconds of searching windows update it installs the driver and all is well . So . . . . Why would my main machine not recognise the device when its plugged in ( unknown device) yet the kids machine does as it displays Flowlink? Cheers for any help Ged |

| 1363075 | 2013-12-20 05:25:00 | Cheers Speedy. Have been down all that route already trying to get it to work on my main desktop. Microsoft healthvault ( for polar ) is now old and not well supported. I can either use Polar Cloud or Microsoft Cloud but not both at same time. Have looked at the microsoft stuff and they don't support the polar stuff anymore re uploading etc. I think the mistake I made was to stick the USB dongle into the desktop prior to installing the software. I did it the other way around on the kids machine and it worked fine...Just tried again and its saying " unknown device" then craps itself after about 30 seconds of looking for a driver.... |
