| 239531 | 2004-05-26 10:13:00 | Hi people, This has happened numerous times before but now I'm just really getting pi**ed off with it now. Problem: On a web site or just on the computer working away in any app or no perticular web page and the comp just freezes. So I bring up Task Manager and click on End task then End Now get Program Not Responding click on Don't Send. (Error report to MS). The computer has then frozen again doing nothing can't do squat only thing to do is switch the computer of at the wall plug and the restart all over again. My question is why does this happen and most of all when you click on End Task it don't end. cheers merlin-nz ;-) Win XP pro 191 mb ram Buggar when it came to dailing in again the computer tried to use the internal modem, under properties the external modem was not listed anywhere, strange. Restarted the computer again and rechecked for the external modem and lo and behold the damn thing is back. |
