| 239302 | 2004-05-26 00:21:00 | I have two PCs running XP networked at home, one of them the internet gateway to Jetstream (boo to high cost "fairlywideband"). Any clues as to why I can't get the two PCs to use shared folders? They both access e-mail and Internet OK thourgh the PC with Norton on but I can't seem to get them to share files/folders/printers unless I turn off the Norton Personal Firewall. I have configured the firewall as per instructions to include the IP addresses of both PCs but no joy. Suggestions? |

Because XP assigns one PC a dynamic IP address, that could be causing the problems you're having, where the IP you set to allow in NPF is not actually the IP of the other PC. | somebody (208) | ||
