| 239714 | 2004-05-27 10:11:00 | Some free programs have them contained within. Everytime you run them they re-instal the Hijacker. Anyway in SpywareBlaster is a subsection called tools, have a look at that. You can alter your search pages then create a photograph of vital parts of the computer and repair very easily if it happens again. Do you have Spybot version 1.3? I can give more detail if you want it. Rob. |

| 239715 | 2004-05-27 10:14:00 | send them zqwerty send them - nothing else seems to be working and I've really tried everything. Short of reinstalling Win I can really what would help. My problem is compounded by the fact that I am not a total newbie and I know what to do/not to do but this flippin thing got me stumped, and I don't like it. I usually only revert to ask PressF1's help if I can't solve it myself or Google can't tell me any more, etc. I don't want to waste the time of all the excellent experts on this forum. | 239719 | 2004-05-27 10:24:00 | zqwerty - because this PC is so old we do not use it for anything - my wife got a laptop with all the latest proggies and surfing is done on that with no problems. This PC really only visit 3 sites - usa.cricket, yahoo for golf and iol.co.za for paper - and then to download signatures (these days daily). I do not check freebies (I only buy PCWorld) with this PC - we do it only with the laptop. So it's a mystery to me. Sarel |
