239894 2004-05-28 05:49:00 Greetings all
recently my system died and i needed to reinstall everything, the only thing I still have to reinstall is office 2003, how do I reinstall it I vaguely recall haveing to get it activated, do I still need to do this as this is going on to the exact same system and everything
What is the procedure, do I have to ring microsoft or something,

any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

239895 2004-05-28 06:36:00 Just pop the Office CD in the drive, let it install itself then it will tell you that you can use it for 50 times before you need to activate it .

To activate, go online and click the friendly reminder when it pops up and it will then go off and do its business .

That is how it is for Office XP so I am assuming that it is the same for Office 2003 . :-)

239896 2004-05-28 06:38:00 Just install it, and it will politely ask if it can connect to the internet and reactivate. If the hardware is still similar to last time (reasonable changes are tolerated) it will activate fine.

Its quite painless. Takes a few seconds only.

You only need to ring if the PC has no ability to connect to the internet.
