2004-05-28 00:20:00 | Hi All, Just bought a new CPU and will be giving away the old one to a relative. Should I just reinstall windows XP or should I refomat the HDD and reinstall XP to clear all files in the system? Your thoughts?

2004-05-28 01:05:00 | if its only a new cpu then why bother reinstalling at all ????? i fail to see the need for a reinstall/format.

2004-05-28 01:25:00 | I interpretet "new CPU" as a new computer. Hence the suggestion. | godfather (25) | |
2004-05-28 01:40:00 | if they had bought a new pc i'm sure they would have said so ;-) | tweak'e (174) | |
2004-05-28 02:11:00 | I took it same as Godfather, so: If its a new PC / Upgrade box - then Format the HDD If its only a CPU Upgrade then dont bother, its a waste of time unless you have other reasons to do so. Chill.
