240260 2004-05-29 12:39:00 you possibly have a virus.........check this out.......when you start and its 'not ok' connect anyway and double clik up the little computers in the system tray, (your connections icons). If the amount of info going out is close to or equal to or exceeds the amount coming in then you most likely have a virus ...... drcspy (146)
240261 2004-05-29 12:44:00 OS?

Try disabling your firewall.

If XP, try going to Start --> Run --> command --> OK

Type in "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the " hit enter and reboot. Quick TCP/IP reset for XP.

sounds like a virus as everytime i get the two messages on startup - windows paging out v memory and norton unable to protect email...

i updated norton live update run scan and no viruses found

i did start this morning twice then again back to being able to connect and had to run system restore to be able to post this...

240266 2004-05-30 00:14:00 > norton unable to protect email...

That message quite often comes up if TCP/IP is damaged.

You still haven't given us the version of Windows you're using...

Gah... so much text so little time. Am doing a shed-load of assignments at the moment, I read it like three times and still didn't see that.

Skaater: If the NetSH thing doesn't work I've got a full TCP/IP repair instruction set somewhere... let me know if you want it.
