240841 2004-06-01 04:35:00 For security reasons I was advised to switch to Power User for everyday use rather than Administrator in XP Pro. This I did but I have lost access back to Administrator for installing software, changing settings, etc. On going to "Switch User" there is no Administrator shown even though I thought I had saved one. There is only one account with admin access (called cclogin) but I am not sure where it came from and I don't have a password for it (doesn't work with no password).
I have searched here and on the net and tried various suggestions but haven't been able to do anything with the limited access I currently have.
Does this mean I am stuck with reformat and reinstall everything?

240842 2004-06-01 04:45:00 have you tried Here (www.mvps.org) johnboy (217)
240843 2004-06-01 05:50:00 if you boot into safe mode you should see your administrator account falvrez (390)
240844 2004-06-01 06:05:00 I couldn't see the Admin account even in Safe mode but followed the first suggestion and managed to get it back and problem solved. I have been there before and I'm not sure what I did different this time but I'm happy.
Thanks
