| 240712 | 2004-05-31 23:35:00 | Hi there, I am running XP and when I run the disk cleanup function on my c: drive, it gets to about 3 bars across the bottom (checking old files or something) and it simply stops responding. This used to work ok and the only thing I have changed recently is installing the new version of Spybot (with the TeaTime registry assistant). It doesn't matter how long I wait it doesn't come out of this mode. When I check the task manager the CPU is running at 100% (99% used by clean disk function) but I have plenty of free RAM (CPU = P4 2.66GHz hyper threading and there is >400Mb free RAM, HDD = 40Gb) and the task list shows that the process is still running. Do I kiss this utility goodbye, or do I have to wait an hour or has someone else out eXPerienced the same problem and found a solution? Cheers |
