| 240609 | 2004-05-31 08:25:00 | I'm trying to install a DSE ADSL modem in a Win95 system. The computer picks it up and installs the modem up to the final stage when it says 'PCI ATM Controller' 'XH1137 DSE ADSL WAN Adapter must have NDISWAN installed' Whereapon it says it has located the source and tries to install it but doesn't and returns to the first screen ad infanitum. DSE help can't help 'It's a windows problem' NDISWAN seems to be part of the registry according to MS knowledge base. Do any Press F1ers know anything about this? Should I reinstall Windows and try again or is there a way to add this bit? a file? a registry tweek? Help please David | DavidW (532) | ||

Minimum really is below the minimum for relaible operation usually Minimum System Requirements: Pentium II 300MHz with 64MB RAM You may need an patch for an OS that early? look here re NDISWAN being enabled with this patch (support.microsoft.com) |
