| 241176 | 2004-06-02 10:01:00 | when i'm on the internet i get a svchost.exe error and i cant selet things that use hyperlinks from applications to the explorer eg search for files wont laund or application links to the internet eg msn messenger checking emails with the link provided by msn. can someone please help me. i'm running windows 2000 | Codex (3761) | ||
| 241177 | 2004-06-02 21:15:00 | Sounds like a virus. I have seen this before too and found it was a virus causing the problem. Sorry, can't remeber which one! Check your antivirus software is up-to-date and run a full system scan. If you don't have any antivirus software go here (http://www.grisoft.com) and download the free version. |

| 241179 | 2004-06-02 21:59:00 | Codex, note the spelling, if the V and the C are reversed, then it is as Curly suggests. the Svchost is windows, Scvhost is a trojan. Wouldn't hurt to do an update and scan anyway with your antivirus program. Also use Spybot and Adaware programs to cleaqn out any spyware which has been known to cause Svchost problems. |
