Guess again what, coincidently, was wrong with Steve Askews' dishwasher and I'll try to make HTOTW even better :) :)

Or, in the case of mechanical diswashers, a common fault is a clogged pressure sensor vessel.

It isn't dark inside your house by any chance? Absence of artificially generated photons? A lack of any freely associating electrons? If so pack the dishwasher back in the box and return it. Much too complicated for you. :D :D
