241062 2004-06-02 10:58:00 This may seem like a silly question but you replied that all the programs (ad-aware etc) were less than 24 hours old but did you mean the programs or the updates??
Quite often you can find the offending file lurking in your program files section of C drive. If all else fails then you could try deleting that and then clean up afterwards but as this can be messy I suggest trying ad-aware etc first.

Another reason some spyware programs cannot be killed is because they are running in hidden mode and cannot be deleted while in use. Try starting in safe mode and then deleting also.
