| 241460 | 2004-06-04 03:03:00 | Good question - Im downloading it now... 1.4% :-( Ark Linux is also geared towards the Home User, but sadly its still in Alpha stages although its looking very promising! Xandros costs about 3x more than Linspire Fedora is not aimed at the average Joe at home. I think its just an "all-rounder" distro IMO - Why have Server software like Squid or Bind included in a Distro for the Average Joe who's simply sick of this: Fear And Loathing Fueling The Virus Revolt (www.linspire.com) If you were looking at being a first-time Linux user for General Home Use, then give Ark a look if not Linspire. I cant vouch personally for Linspire but I CAN for Ark. My family really like it :-) Chill. |
