| 241247 | 2004-06-02 23:16:00 | I installed a FX5200 PCI graphics card in an IBM Aptiva running Win98 for a friend who wanted better than the onboard graphics but didn't have an AGP slot. PC is 1 GHz with 384 meg RAM. The install went fine, I loaded up the drivers that came with the card initially, but the graphics (particularly and black writing against grey background - eg task bars) are blurry. It's like there is a double image to the right of each icon. I tried another driver 45.23 and it was the same. It is also like this on the post screen, the white letters against the black screen are blurry. I have tried the card in another slot and ensured it is well seated. I thought maybe it was the onboard graphics messing about with the settings but can't see how to disable these in the BIOS (disabling onboard sound is there but not graphics). Any ideas, gurus?
