I have done a couple of these course by HP before, and there are no catches. The only correspondence I receive from them are notification of new courses which are sent out once every 4-6 weeks. They do display small ads beside your course lesssons for their products. Susan B is a great advocate of this HP online course as well and used notify us of any new course (it is how I got onto it :p)

I have just signed up for Building Web applications with PHP and MySQL :)

241618 2004-06-04 08:24:00 Jen, ya shouldn't have shouted it all over the net, now everbodys hitting the site and it won't let me in :_|

Thanks for the links the other night BTW. I even checked out the FAQ's just in case and found Graham L's one languising near the bottom (have to talk to BB or Robo or Mark). Graham's advice is succinct and pithy as he is wont to be and of course very very spot on "RTFM" :^O So I did some serious printing last night and of course then got side tracked on ghostscript and font installation and...and....*

Hey, the other link has finally loaded. see ya.

Nevermind, sigh. I got it now :D. Yeah, quite neat how the lessons revolve around Fedora ... although to be fair, Linux is Linux and it really wouldn't matter if you ran .... say Debian :p

The wheels are turning a bit slow tonight obviously :p

I just signed up for Introduction to MS Word - so that I can learn how to use those fancy bits around the page, instead of just the middle...
