241348	2004-06-03 04:59:00	a m8 has purchased a 30 gig hdd and hes living with a flatmate (not me lol) and hes asking if I can do the partitioning for him as i did mine the other day...but his request is a weird one and one that i dont know if works... He wants to have 3 partitions, one of 6gig, one of 6gig and one of 18gig. He will have 2 users with their own log ons.. this is what he wants.. User1 can log onto the 18 gig...then one of the 2 6gig partitions... User2 can log onto the 18 gig...then one of the 2 6gig partitions... BUT...User1 cannot look into User2's 6gig partition, and User2 cannot look into User1's 6gig partition... Its like having a lounge, and 2 bedrooms off it...one can go in 1, one can go in the other, but they cant go into eachothers room...if u get what i mean... If this is possible can you tell me how to do it... If its NOT possible, is there anything similar we can do? Maybe 2 log ons and same 3 partitions but the 2 partitions are protected by password? i dunno.. Computer will be using Windows XP home when purchased but currently on windows me or 2000 Cheers :) Chris	csinclair83 (200)

241351	2004-06-03 05:22:00	NTFS is the file system of windows XP with that you can set up which users can get in to which folders and files. the administrsator of the system can always access every drive, this might be a problem.....	robsonde (120)

241353	2004-06-03 05:39:00	yo can do it by right clicking the drive, selecting permissons, and then you can select who can read, write and excecute. Will only work in administrator account, it 2k or xp pro, not xp home	Megaman (344)
