Browsing works fine O/s Win98se Wingate 2.1 outlook 2000 I have the internet connection set at Dial whenever a network connection is not available. | 241832 | 2004-06-04 23:58:00 | Not that I know, but just a thought - You are not trying to connect to the internet through Both computers, are you? Only the Master server inside one of the computers should do that otherwise there will be a connection conflict with both machines trying to connect at once. Just trying to eleminate one possible cause. Chers |

| 241836 | 2004-06-05 00:48:00 | I have always been able to connect through the network or my own modem that part is not a problem only trying to access emails through outlook. | Topsie3v (168) | ||
| 241837 | 2004-06-05 01:06:00 | I agree: Tools, Accounts, Properties, Connections inside Outlook. Try all the options, one after another, even although you may think that only one of them would apply to you. It's amazing sometimes how Microsoft thinks when these options are programmed in. Sometimes they do not mean what we think they should mean. | eef2 (1904) | ||
| 241838 | 2004-06-05 01:19:00 | Another idea: Check the spelling in the Incoming mailbox window under Tools, Accounts, Properties, Servers. You may have inserted a commer instead of a full stop.:O It's an easy mistake to make. It should read: pop3.xtra.co.nz. if xtra is your isp, for instance. |
