2004-06-05 01:53:00 | i find that bending the motherboard is not always a good way to destroy it. i would be more on static electricities side, but either way - i say recheck everything thats plugged into the board. | agent_24 (4330) | |
2004-06-05 01:58:00 | bending? what you mean the pins? I used a screwdriver to short them.... I've tried and failed to get the motherboard to work: 1) with everything attached 2) with some things attached 3) with other things attached 4) with nothing but the power and the CPU and the RAM attached. Oh why me? My case ... my beautiful case....

2004-06-05 02:07:00 | no, i mean bending the actual motherboard itself from wrong sized spacers etc. > Oh why me? I wonder how many times I've said that.... :(

2004-06-05 02:12:00 | Doesn't look good does it? I would go one step further, remove RAM , and have only CPU and Power Supply connected. Then try. Try another power supply, although I think you have done that eh? That would only leave the Motherboard and CPU to blame. Oh and a thought, CPU fan plugged into correct socket and not the case fan socket?

(some heavy heatsinks can crack a cpu if you move the pc around) reset bios and then failing that check cpu and ram in another pc. | tweak'e (174) | ||
