242037 2004-06-05 09:19:00 Here it is ==>microsoft.com (www.microsoft.com).

You would think WMP would be last on the list- after tabbed browsing, spam filter and Longhorn/Blackcomb

242039 2004-06-05 21:00:00 This seems to have a much more "longhorn" look about it. Just the text styles etc, looks a lot more like the rest of Longhorn does, so Im guessing this is in Preperation for it.

Who knows, we may have a WMP11 by then, because WMP has got to be one of the fastest developed Microsoft Products. It was only a lil over a year ago that WMP9 came out!

Thanks for the info!

Chill.

242040 2004-06-06 01:06:00 I take it from the screenshot you are running MP10.
Any verdict yet or initial impressions?
I am contemplating installing to see if I can fix problems I am having with file formats in my media players.

242041 2004-06-06 01:22:00 I find it to be great. Here's why.

-Loades faster than WMP 9 or 8
-You can change the colour of it. Don't like blue? You can have yellow, red, green... you get the picture ;)
-Has direct link to music store (like iTunes) and Napster (!). among others.
-Has direct like to plug-ins. Downloaded the "3D" plug-in, and nearly lost my hearing.
-As well as more visualisations, and option to download more.
-Not to mention I like the new GUI.

242042 2004-06-06 22:20:00 Can you actually un-install it or are you required to enable System Restore, install it, and then if you dont like it Roll-back?

If there's an un-installer I think I'll give it a whirl :-)

242043 2004-06-06 22:28:00 In the Add/Remove programs thing in Control Panel, you can roll back to the version you last had on your computer. Megaman (344)
242044 2004-06-06 23:06:00 Well I've taken the leap and installed. So far so good and even though it is still to early to decide it does seem to be an improvement. dipstick01 (445)

Yeah, you can, but only in WinXP :-)
