Yes, it works very well but it can be very painful for quite a while after treatment. It is much kinda to use the solution that you can get from the chemist or have made up by prescription.

242648 2004-06-07 11:45:00 Burn it with Dry Ice?

Bah....

Nothing was funnier than watching my younger brother (15) decide that he was going to really Burn his off the back of his hand

Lesson learned:
Dont do it! It hurts, no matter how hilarious it is for bystanders to watch you dancing around like a chicken with your head cut off, there will still be pain.

It got rid of it, as well as all hairs on the back of his hand around that area :D

The dumb things kids do....

Chill.

242650 2004-06-07 12:41:00 My understanding is that liquid N2 works as well as any other destructive method , and hurts kinda less ; groovy thermos things with nozzles squirt it right onto the wart ; other methods involve altering the immune system to reject the virus . The newer drugs are expensive .... not to be personal , but where is this wart buddy ? It does matter ..... Mike W KatiMike (242)

242653 2004-06-07 13:37:00 point taken buddy , but does this mean over a tendon, or just over the skin etc ? - this dry ice [ which now means liquid nitrogen ie -256C ] is powerful stuff - perhaps a diagram or photo would help ... there is no doubt this stuff is good fun to play with but , to quote the toothpaste ad "it does get in " ... 242654 2004-06-07 20:49:00 That's very dangerous - you could easily send tiny bits of plastic flying into people's eyes (or in a case I witnessed, the side of a metal rubbish bin flying metres away). somebody (208)
242655 2004-06-07 20:50:00 I disagree - liquid nitrogen worked well for me, and didn't hurt afterwards (it was slightly painful for about 10 mins after, but then fine). somebody (208)
242656 2004-06-07 20:51:00 Dry ice is solid Carbon Dioxide.
Liquid Nitrogen is liquid Nitrogen.
