What I'd like to do is use the Remote with my Laptop's IR Port (If this is possible).

I quite frequently use my laptop in my car, more-so than I use my TV Tuner Card and remote. I run music from my laptop through my car stereo, however sometimes a song comes on and I'd really like to be able to simply skip the track.
This becomes an issue because to change song in WinAmp, I've got to open the lid, Hit "B" and close the lid again. This means I usually have to pull the car over to the side of the road and stop, or get a passenger to do it for me.

What I want is to be able to use the Remote with the Laptop's IR Port (On the front of the laptop) if its in any way possible, and I'm sure I've seen a WinAmp plugin for IR Remotes.

Is it at all possible? How would I go about setting it up? Do I need Drivers?

Many thanks

Its dead.

You are trying to wake it.

A new post may have been more productive.

Its dead.

And so is the laptop, well, the laptop screen (www.pressf1.co.nz).

Did anyone ever heard what happened with his laptop?
