242734 2004-06-08 07:13:00 Using WinXP search turned up 153 *.dbx (Outlook Express) files scattered through my hard drives.
I want to check these out before massive permanent deletion of old stuff, since some of them I want to keep.

I can use OE to import files in readable form for inspection, but right now can’t see a way to do them all at once (into say a single big folder) rather than trying to slog my way through 153 different (although some possibly identical) files.

Seems there’s some shortcuts possible, such as using NOCLONE or similar to first weed out identical files, but it still seems a long slog.

Is there a batch approach to doing this, or am I stuck with the long slog?

242735 2004-06-08 08:04:00 dbx files are also used in Foxpro databases and are the index files in some of the older dBase databases. I also saw some references on here

filext.com

to databeam images (whatever they are) and Visual Foxpro.

I wouldn't bee too hasty deleting all of the old files. You may want to take a look at where the file is stored to get an idea as to which programme is using that file.

Can't help with the bulk loading sorry.
