242602 2004-06-07 10:43:00 Download the latest version of Spybot from here (http://www.safer-networking.org/) . Install it, choose Advanced mode, update the definitions (change the update server if you get bas checksums) go to the Immunize button and immunise your computer, let Teatimer run, then Check For Problems button.

It does no harm to get Adaware as well as the two spyware kilers are complemtary.

If you want to go a step further, stop using IE & OE and get a new browser like Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Opera or MYIE2 (all on the latest PC World cover CD) and set them to stop pop-ups.

242603 2004-06-07 12:43:00 Or go here (http://toolbar.google.com) and grab the Google toolbar to stop pop-ups (and pop unders) whiskeytangofoxtrot (438)
242604 2004-06-08 01:19:00 Hi

Thanks for that .

I did all that and the thing keeps opening .

But it is diferent now .

It opens as a minimised window that can not be maximised .

Whilst that is good it is still a hassle that it opens at all .

Any further advice?

regards

242606 2004-06-08 01:31:00 Install and run Ad-Aware. That will help to kill the pesky little bugger. You can grab Ad-Aware and other tools that are great for killing this sort of thing from the PC World Magazine CD. Just don't forget to update the definitions. dipstick01 (445)
242607 2004-06-08 01:32:00 try Here (www.spysweeper.com) johnboy (217)
242608 2004-06-08 01:35:00 There are more instructions here (www.pestpatrol.com) but they do require a fair bit of computer knowledge. Try the other suggestions first and if they do not work then that page may help. tommy (2826)
