243283 2004-06-10 07:56:00 All drives(fdd, hdd, cd/dvd) can shared on a LAN if you enable sharing in the device properties. CD/DVD burning is not recommended because transfer rates are not fast enough. Davesdad (923)
243284 2004-06-10 08:28:00 isnt there some sort of cache option in nero or whatever? Ive seen one just not sure if you sould use it for lan... agent_24 (4330)

I don't think you can. There does not appear to be an option on the remote computer to change the icon.
There is a possibility a third party icon program may be able to do it.

243288 2004-06-11 01:46:00 Nero definintely caches files from across a network before burning. Do this myself all the time with version 5 antmannz (28)
243289 2004-06-11 05:08:00 By default, any drive can be written to and read from, regardless of media, across the network, but it will show up as a network drive. Growly (6)
