1364145 2014-01-02 20:22:00 Hello,

I've recently run into a problem with my desktop running Windows 7. The issue is that the PC will just reboot itself and show a couple of different things.

The first time it showed the prompt to start in safe mode.
The second time it wouldn't output to the display and the computer sounded like it was cycling (I'm not 100% sure that's the word).
The third time it got to the boot screen and was stuck on 'Loading IDE drives'.

Yesterday it was working fine, as it is currently. I've not added in any new hardware for months. The latest additions were a new GPU and solid state, but again, no issues when I added them originally.

Specifications:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GTX 670
RAM: 8GB
HDD: 1x Intel SSD, 2x WD 500GB and 1TB HDD
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte GA

I've got the Event log information too, not sure how to upload it here.

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

So if the problem has resolved, stop worrying .
If it recurs, what does Event Viewer show? You only need to worry about any red flagged issues (and not even all of them) or anything relating the the disk .
