1343824 2013-05-28 08:33:00 We used to hear "sombody swiped me razor' (www.fortgarryhorse.ca) rather a lot, but it is not on the wireless quite so often now, maybe the crystal is getting tired. R2x1 (4628)
1343825 2013-05-28 21:12:00 I've only ever heard that line from my dad, so it must be an oldie.

Maybe listen to the telegraph wires instead.

There was a line about spit and polish, and the neighbour bloke. Can't recall any more.

1343827 2013-05-29 01:19:00 I had to stop and think for a bit about "Wireless" - was thinking WiFi and got confused! Dannz (1668)
1343828 2013-05-29 01:29:00 My old 1932 EKCO TRF cathedral bakelite wireless set picks up some good old 1920s and 30s programmes, but doesn't go back as far as WW1.

Like this, 'Hallo Hallo hier radio Berlin' www.youtube.com hear the hetrodyne whistle, you don't get that with these new fangled wifi sets.

Your radio gets voice and music? I always have trouble transposing the music from Morse code - now this high falutin' new gizmo will be able to do it in the box? Amazing, what a wonderful world.
