Who are people using for a decent Dynamic DNS provider now? I did try NO IP for a while, but they were annoying...

1342389 2013-05-20 23:28:00 Most places provide a static IP address.
I've just registered my family name as a .co.nz domain, we now also use it for email (It's independent of any ISP which is handy) and it also means I've just created records like:
firstname.surname.co.nz
For most of the family. Easy to remote control the routers remotely (On a non-standard port for WAN mangement), amongst other things.

I used no-ip and dyndns, can't help with any others sorry...

Ive been considering doing just that. I thought if Im going to finally move off xtra email , why not go the whole hog & use my name as a domain name?
Who are you using as a domain & email host, any cheap cheap options ?

Back on topic, $10 a year isnt alot to pay if its a reliable service.
But you cant beat a static IP from your ISP.

1342391 2013-05-21 02:38:00 Yeah we signed up for Google Apps back when it was free for up to 10 users or whatever, so that's what we use. AFAIK you can do something similar with Outlook.com for free now. Google is a few bucks a year now if you sign up a new domain, but I'd still recommend them as being worth paying for :) Chilling_Silence (9)
1342392 2013-05-21 22:32:00 I've had a family domain for several years. Email address like bbcmicro.net without .nz on the end. But would strongly suggest having a .nz domain. It's quite a hassle having to say 'without .nz on the end' everytime I give someone my address BBCmicro (15761)
