They will happily sell NZ all the guns & ammo we want though

Now if we had heaps of oil, that would be a different story. Perhaps we need to develop a butter & lamb powered car just to make NZ commodities worth going to war for.

Well we do grow food here and have lots of nice clean fresh water and water could be the next oil. There's lots of people out there who would love to get their hands on it in years to come unless the politicians get greedy and sell it off..

Now a lamb powered car that is being silly.

1342464 2013-05-22 10:00:00 Never mind the butter to gasoline process, what we REALLY need is a politician-to-compost process. Need not be efficient, losses are acceptable, but it must be fast and irreversible.. ;) R2x1 (4628)
1342465 2013-05-22 12:05:00 I always gambled that anyone with any power in the rest of the world would always want a hidey hole, a way to get to safe refuge, ie New Zealand is a good choice, so therefore wouldn't be pointing nuclear weapons or sending invading forces here when the big one started, one of the main reasons I decided to come here 40 years ago from the middle of Africa after being there for 23 years. zqwerty (97)

Not far from the Equator but 4000 feet up, reputedly the best weather in the world.

Good morning sir - ma pulane mquay???

Also 'Politicians-to-compost', very funny R2x1
