1364033 2014-01-01 04:59:00 Hi,
Just had my Lookout AV detect and remove a "Scan for virus now_apk" threat on my Android ASUS TF101 !
I then immediately deleted all history, cache and cookies from browser. Also powered off and reboted device.

Hope all is well now?

1364034 2014-01-01 06:23:00 Malware for Androids is on the climb. There are a few who say its impossible to get infected, but they need to wake up and come to terms any popular OS will sooner or later get hit by the malware writers. Classic example is this article: malwareaware.blogspot.co.nz

We got the Android Nod32 installed, theres been several times its detected and stopped suspect activity trying to install.

One site a person states somewhat the obvious:
The only way you could end up infected is if you allow the install of a rogue app. You would need to select allow install from unknown sources in settings and then agree to install the app when prompted. BUT you have to ask yourself, how many people simply click Yes they agree to anything that pops up ? Millions, you only have to look at the malware that gets installed on Windows, a lot of people have no idea as to what they are installing (in the background) by simply clicking I agree, or use default install options. Android is no different.
