1363989 2014-01-01 01:47:00 Hi All. This is Maryanns M/c. It was working perfectly this morning. Then would not connect to the Internet. Checking the Internet section we get"Incorrect Password" So we put in the Password & still the same. Turned router on...off, & no difference. Two other laptops work OK on wifi, just this Tablet.
What could be wrong? Thanks. PJ

1363990 2014-01-01 03:30:00 Hi PJ / MA,

What makes and model is your router?

Try this:
Shut down both laptops.
Pull the power on the router. Leave it for 10 minutes to ensure it cools down.
Plug the power back in.
Try and connect the tablet.

Then once its on, boot up both laptops

Let us know how you go :-)

1363996 2014-01-01 23:30:00 the router password :)

Not sure what this is. We have various ones written down & have tried them all. How can I find it from thr router or change it to what we think it is? PJ

1363997 2014-01-01 23:47:00 The routers wifi password must be OK, because your other devices can connect with it, the tablet would be the problem.
You may need to tell your tablet to 'forget' the connection first.
When typing in the password for wifi on the tablet, turn on Show Password so you see what you're typing, also is case sensitive.
(I assume we're talking Android os here).
Your modem/router ID and password (facing the internet), will be different from your Wifi SSID (connection name e.g. PJswifi) and password (e.g. pjtablet), facing you.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to teach you how to suck eggs, if you know this already ;)

1363998 2014-01-01 23:56:00 It looks to me like it is the wireless network pre shared key that is required to connect the tablet to your network. Try clicking on <settings> select <wifi> turn it off, then turn <wifi> back on. You should now see any local wifi networks, select your one and join it. It should ask you for the PSK/Password, enter it. You should now be back in business. Keep in mind that the key/password must be 100% correct. I have in the past had problems with inadvertantly putting in an extra space or a capital letter wrongly.

If you need to using one of the machines that is connected to the router log in to the router, look at the WAN settings and get the pre shared key from there.
