243803 2004-06-13 01:35:00 Growly, there are THREE Dunedin retailers selling the Gigabyte GA-7NNXP Motherboard...... although its listed as a 78NNXP [have you got the correct model #?]

I think perhaps you should let your fingers do the walking a little more on Google

Oh im sick of google, only one in every five hits is worth anything, at best. Besides, i tried for a few hours....

Let me see...

243805 2004-06-13 02:20:00 wait, i searched google - "dunedin 7nnxp", and it came up with four, two of which I knew about.

how'd you come up with that?

243806 2004-06-13 02:44:00 Hi Growly

You need to define your search terms a little better

Dunedin +7nnxp brings up 8 hits with 4 displayed.

Most were PriceSpy, but I don't think "dunedin nnxp" is the best way to find your target.

Personally I'd go looking for another MB, I know you are all hyped up about buying this one but there must be plenty of other models that could meet your overall criteria.

Do a "Wants vs Needs" analysis and you will broaden the range of available products.

Cheers

243807 2004-06-13 05:52:00 I see... I never did get the hang of searching on these engines...

Well, a wants vs needs analysis would leave me not buying a new motherboard....

Unless I make up some random excuse, like:

"This motherboard is the key my self-development and maturity, the absence of which would leave me morally degraded and a menace to society at large."

It's not the end of the world, calm down . I couldn't agree more to Billy T . I'm sure there are many, many more models that match your requirements, and may even be cheaper . And if you do get it shipped from Austrlia, what happens when you find a fault, etc .

Instead of telling everybody in every thread, get over it and find another board . . . . :-)

243809 2004-06-13 07:47:00 Ok I've finally got a hold of my friend in Australia who is into computers.

Basically their pricespy equivalent is Razor Prices (http://www.razorprices.com).

If you search on there you should come up with only 4 suppliers (www.razorprices.com) of that motherboard.

Unfortunately I don't know if they are reliable or not. Woudl be good if you could source a NZ retailer. Can't imagine what a pain it would be trying to get a replacement for a no-longer manufactured motherboard if you have issues.

Slight exaggeration, it was only two threads, and I thought it was hilarious . you could ignore it if you REALLY want - you're not exactly going through what I am .

I have problems letting go - hence my refusal to buy a new motherboard (although it is by far the most logical thing to do) .

Thanks a million kiki!
