Should I just un-instal and re-instal or is there something clever I can do? I have already tried renaming 'folder.dbx' to .old but no change. Is there a repair option? Not sure where to start with this. Nothing from Google.

Any help gratefully received.

Nothing else on the computer appears to be faulty.

244027 2004-06-13 08:33:00 What version of Windows? Susan B (19)
244028 2004-06-13 08:36:00 dunno if u can in outlook express but in outlook u go to help and click detect and repair and the program can find problems and then repair them itself....

check that option out in OE and sorry if its not there...

244029 2004-06-13 08:52:00 Sorry, I did write out a full list of all info but lost it on the first post and so the next was a little truncated.

The o/s that is running the faulty Outlook Express is Win98SE. I have exactly the same setup on the other o/s, Win2K, operating on the same hardware and it is still working fine.

244030 2004-06-13 09:19:00 Go into Add/Remove Programs > Outlook Express (or maybe Internet Explorer if OE isn't listed) and after clicking on Remove/Install it should give you the option to do a repair. Try that for starters. Susan B (19)

It is Internet Explorer that you will be looking for in Add/Remove to do a repair. That will repair OE at the same time.

244032 2004-06-13 10:12:00 Yup,

Tried that and used Security Update CD, all went well, got latest updates from MS then tried OE, still the same problem.

I have to go out now, so sorry Susan B, I will resume this saga tomorrow, if that is ok with you.

244033 2004-06-14 05:38:00 Susan B,

I uninstalled and re-installed OE, no change, fault still evident. Tried repair of IE6 SP1 again and this time all seems back to normal. So thanks for the help. Great.
