| 244066 | 2004-06-17 12:29:00 | How does the printer connect? USB or Parallel cable? Check in Device Manager that there are no yellow exclamation marks next to these? | Jester (13) | ||
| 244067 | 2004-06-17 20:20:00 | poppa did you do a repair or clean install, if a repair try uninstalling the print driver and reinstall the driver software may not have been registered correctly on the repair A long shot I know but....... |

| 244068 | 2004-06-18 09:20:00 | Jester & Beama. 2 comps networked & connected thro a Speedtouch router(?). Sigma/XP & Dell/98. Previously had a Canon i550 network printer hard connected, USB, to the Sigma. All was ok. Even after doing the Jetstream install, all was ok. Then little things started to go wrong, mainly could not get past the Logon password screen. Could not type into the password box. Could, at the end. only fix it by turning power off at the wall. Soo, I put the XP disc in & told it to install. Probably a bit drastic?? Anyway all came right. Except no printer. Finally deleted Canon & Epson printers using add/remove. Did a Canon instal & it wont work, "communications error" Plugged the Epson, also a usb printer, onto the Dell, did the install & it works ok from there. Cannot work the Canon from the Dell. When I turn thr Canon on it goes thro the head clean startup. Will not print anything nor nozzle check etc. Always says communication error. Having got the Epson printer working on Maryann's comp I am loath to try it on the XP. So what now. Device manager no yellow ticks. PJ |
