| 243958 | 2004-06-13 03:27:00 | A friend has been hit with this virus/worm. As a precaution, I updated my Norton virus definitions and on looking therein could not find Sasser listed at all ???. Am i really up to date? | Cymbalz (4460) | ||
| 243959 | 2004-06-13 03:37:00 | Look for W32sasser in Norton AV. Your best defence against sasser is to have an up to date/patched windows OS. If you use XP, turn off its firewall and use one that can limit data in both directions like Kerio, Agnitum Outpost or Zone Alarm. Cheers Murray P |

| 243960 | 2004-06-13 04:56:00 | The quickest mode of defence against this worm is this: Click Start Click Run type in: cmd Now, type the following: echo dcpromo >%systemroot%\debug\dcpromo.log & attrib +r %systemroot%\debug\dcpromo.log You're now safe from catching the worm, but wont help if you've already got it. Chill. |
