244842 2004-06-15 09:57:00 While exploring my computer with the idea of a clean-up I found in Programs a folder labelled InstallShield Installation Information. Can I delete the entire folder as it seems to relate to demos and programs etc that I have installed? This will recover about 28mb. If I can, are there any other files like this that I would be able to delete completely? fern (4201)
244843 2004-06-15 09:59:00 Deleting this will prevent uninstaling any of those applications. godfather (25)
244844 2004-06-15 10:21:00 Can I delete the folders in it containing programs I recognise that I have uninstalled? fern (4201)
244845 2004-06-15 11:35:00 Check through your program add/remove list first.
Best not to do anything directly in that folder. If you want to clean up, use Ccleaner (www.spazmatic.net) and also Regcleaner (www.majorgeeks.com). In regcleaner, you can hit the "uninstall menu" and remove items from there. Also, clean out references left over in your registry , tools-registry cleaner=do them all.

Then see how much room you have made with these 2 programs, safely.

Pheonix - you might want to check your link to Ccleaner as I'm sure I saw a redirection happen.
Am only doing this as I need to clean some space. I uninstalled one of the programs that used Installshield and saw those bits disappear as well. It's fun learning what's what. Have an awful long way to go though.

Does anyone know in windows folder what the stuff in file "Internet Logs"
I know all the .txt stuff relate to zone alarm but there are a whole lot of files with names like xDB100.TMP what are these and do I need them?
