2004-06-15 09:13:00 | I have a Radeon 9200 PCI 256mb ddr Gfx card in my pc. Is a Radeon 9600 or 9800 AGP 128mb ddr Faster/better than my pci one? Im having an argument with my friend over this and he recons that since agp is faster, that the 128mb agp will "cane" my 256 pci What do u guys think?

2004-06-15 10:26:00 | I always though that a higher number on a particular model of video card meant a faster card, eg a TI4800 is faster then a TI4200 and so on | agent_24 (4330) | |
2004-06-15 10:28:00 | though if u were comparing a TI4800 with a FX5200 it may be a different story... | agent_24 (4330) | |
2004-06-15 10:33:00 | from what i've heard, there is a big diff between fx and Ti. FX is basically, Nvidias attempt to keep up with ATI

2004-06-15 10:39:00 | The 9200 is a very poor performing card, just about the slowest card on the market. The 9600pro would kill it in every respect,It has a far more advanced chipset running at much higher speeds and has the agp bandwidth to use which is much faster.
