2004-06-15 06:05:00 | I use W98SE. I am trying to view photos on eventz.co.nz. I cannot see the thumbnails. I see a red box with a black box inside and a red X inside that. Right clicking and selecting "show picture" does not work. I know this is a problem with W98 but I cannot find a solution. Any ideas? My thanks if you can help.

2004-06-15 06:15:00 | It also matters what browser you're using coz some sites down work in anything but IE. Have you by chance turned "images" off in your browser? The little "x" means the pic cannot be displayed and I hope we hear lots of reasons why this may be so.:D

2004-06-15 06:55:00 | If you have Norton Internet Security or any other firewall installed reset your Personal Firewall settings. Try running the following commands from start/run with all programmes shut down: regsvr32.exe/ishdocvw.dll and then regsvr32.exe/ishdoc401.dll After a wait you will get a *succeeded* dialogue box after each command. Click ok, and reboot.

2004-06-15 23:13:00 | Jim B, neither of those commands will run. In both cases I get a "Cannot find file" message...any more ideas? | slofox (5767) | |
2004-06-15 23:21:00 | If I disable NPF the thumbs will show up - but I dare not leave NPF disabled for long as I have had a rash of Trojan Horse attacks recently....any more ideas? | slofox (5767) | |
