| 245274 | 2004-06-16 21:39:00 | How can I open a file which is an .htm file? When clicked it goes no image preview available. What programme should I try to open it with or what could I do to the file to make it open? I know that this particular file is an interactive type with pictures that come on etc after moving one's mouse around on it. Any suggestions out there? ta |

| 245276 | 2004-06-16 23:53:00 | Was this file emailed to you, are you positive that the person who appears to be the author is, were you expecting it or was it unsolicited? Just being cautious, a lot of virus', etc, are sent as htm or html files. Anyway, it should open in your web browser, if it has mpeg, av or flash embedded then your media player such as Quicktime, Windows Media Player, Flash Player or whatever should kick in if correctly associated. If you have these and it will not play, that is more cause for concern as the file may not exist to be played, ie, it's not what it appears or is pretending to be. If you must view it save it to disc and scan with your, up to date, anti virus programme before attempting to open it.. Cheers Murray P |
