245791 2004-06-18 10:04:00 At work I received this humerous little moving picture which worked fine. I do not know which application was involved.

Sent it home by email but however when I opened it, the program which was associated is Quick Time and it does not move, or at least, if you repeatedly click on the forward play it gives a less than useful result.
(By the way I may be paranoid but I seem to find that Quick Time has taken over in my PC !).

I have right clicked in Windows Explorer to try options to chose what to play it with but neither Real Player nor Windows Media Player could handle it.

The image is GIF and I run Windows ME.

What can I try please ?

245793 2004-06-18 10:28:00 Regarding QuickTime uninstall it and get the Quick time alternative which is less invasive from
Here (www.free-codecs.com)

I opened it in OE and it worked fine. For some reason this time round it did not identify type, whereas before it was showing as GIF in the email. Maybe some variation, I suppose. Anyway it worked fine ! :)

Thanks also johnboy
I had a look at the Quick time alternative and am keen to have something less invasive. Probably will download it. In the meantime I will go one step at a time. First I need to learn to control which media player I want to have as default. :|
