| 245736 | 2004-06-18 09:15:00 | hello, whenever i get an attack i like to use the option in norton firewall and look at where its coming from. does this mean that the targeted person actually attacked me with harm in mind? I recenetly got an high alert attack from world net in auckland it seems unlikely that an isp would go around hacking thanks, |

There is a number of reason why you are getting attack, it could be the blaster worm or any number of others worms which are out there or it could be a script kiddie scanning your ports too see if any of them are open... etc .. Head over to http://www.grc.com then look for "ShieldsUP!" & run the tests there & see what tests find the test are safe, me & other press F1 uses use this site to test there firewall often :) > I recenetly got an high alert attack from world net > in auckland > it seems unlikely that an isp would go around > hacking na, you right there it will not be an ISP, it might some script kiddie or an insecure computer etc who is on that ISP I hope this helps, post back here & lets us know what you find :) |
